ST. LOUIS, MO — The Eastern Missouri Beekeepers Association (EMBA) is gearing up for its highly anticipated 2026 Beekeeping Workshop & Honey Show Weekend, set to take place February 20–21 at the Holiday Inn SW – Route 66 in St. Louis.
Now in its 18th year, the event draws beekeeping enthusiasts from across the region for two days packed with education, networking, and celebration. Designed to cater to all levels of experience—from beginning beekeepers to seasoned pros—the weekend promises plenty of bee talk, expert-led sessions, and an outstanding vendor and honey show.
Friday, February 20, kicks off with a special, add-on intermediate beekeeping course from 10:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., which includes lunch, snacks, and early access to the vendor show—all for just $40. This special class can be added to your Beginning or Experienced ticket. Also on Friday, the EMBA will welcome the American Honey Show Training Council (AHSTC) to conduct an all-day Level 1 certification session. The evening concludes with the popular Beekeeping Banquet from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m., featuring a delicious buffet dinner, a bee-themed talk, and lots of camaraderie. Tickets are $48 per person and are ticketed separately so you do not have to attend the workshop to participate.
Saturday, February 21, is the main event: a full day of programming running from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. with dual tracks for beginner and experienced beekeepers. For an early bird price of $99, attendees receive expert instruction, breakfast, lunch, snacks, and workshop materials. The day also includes the EMBA’s 2nd Annual Honey Show Competition, with expanded categories—this is your chance to showcase your honey and hive products. Our vendor show will be in full swing all day Saturday with a select group of national and local companies that can help you gear up for your 2026 beekeeping needs.
This year’s speaker lineup includes respected names in beekeeping research and practice: Greg Rogers, Kent Williams, Bryan Zavada, Jim Masucci, Frank Rinkevich, Lewis Bartlett, Ken Heitkamp, and John Pashia.
The weekend will also feature raffles, giveaways, and opportunities to connect with local and national vendors and experts in the beekeeping industry.
